Photonic Filter Module

In modern quantum optics experiments, we need to extract single-photon-level signal light from a large number of noise background. However, the frequency of noise is very similar to the frequency of signal, and the frequency difference usually is only a few GHz, or even a few hundred MHz. The spectral resolution of the well-known grating and band-pass filter is not high enough, and the filter extinction ratio and stability based on the Mach-Zehnder Interferometer (MZI) are not good enough. Although the resolution of the filter based on the Fabry-Perot Interferometer(aka. etalon) is sufficient, due to various technical difficulties, there are almost no commercial filters that can take into account all aspects: spectral resolution, extinction ratio and System stability. This has become a major problem in quantum optics experiments. Many graduate students have to spend a lot of precious time to build and debug filter systems. The photon filter module is a new product independently developed by the company based on the Fabry-Perot Interferometer. It supports multiple input and multiple output of optical signals, taking into account spectral filtering and spatial mode filtering, and realizes both filtering and frequency division functions. It has the advantages of high transmittance, strong denoising ability, high frequency division accuracy and stable performance. It is especially suitable for weak light signal extraction and fine spectrum analysis in different scenes.
